Overview:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a sales engineer you would be expected to work on your own autonomy whilst also being a senior individual within our UK commercial team.

The main facets of the position are to:

  • Manage selected key accounts from a commercial sales and technical viewpoint
  • Achieve a sales budget in excess of £1 Million
  • Develop new business by ensuring our electrical connectors, cable terminals & associated cable accessories are sold into the OEM, harness manufacturers and panel builders etc
  • Develop a strong understanding of our electrical connectors & cable terminals product portfolio
  • To help strategically plan which potential accounts are primed for major growth in the next 3 years
  • Territory management & administration
  • To close orders

Reporting to the sales director

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The candidate should have atleast 3 years experience as a sales engineer
  • The ideal individual would be from the electrical/cable & connectors industry
  • A demonstrable track record of sales achievement is essential
  • A mix of business development and account management attributes are needed for this role
  • The ability to sell from a technical viewpoint is essential
  • Strong commercial skills are also required
