As a sales engineer you would be expected to develop sales revenues in both new and existing accounts within the OEM & distribution sectors.

The main facets of the position are:

  • Develop new business by ensuring our automation solutions are designed-in to new OEM projects

  • Make sure you have a strong understanding of our automation product portfolio (I/o solutions, Plc's, HMi's etc)

  • To strategically plan which potential accounts are primed for growth in the next 5 years

  • Account management attributes and a genuine solution sales personality

  • To converse with potential new customers and open new accounts

  • To close & win orders

Reporting to the sales director


  • The candidate should have at least 3 years experience as an external sales engineer

  • The ideal individual would be from within the automation industry

  • A demonstrable track record of sales achievement is essential

  • A mix of business development and account management attributes are needed for this role

  • OEM client relationships and contacts are desirable

  • A highly motivated, sales mind set is highly important for this opportunity
