Business Development Manager (HAYIOT003)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a business development manager, you would be expected to work on your own autonomy whilst also being the main IoT solutions collaborator within our UK commercial team.

The main facets of the position are:

• To develop sales of our digital software solutions offering into the factory automation, industrial and power generation sectors.
• Winning new business by ensuring our IoT solutions (hardware, software, data analytics and cloud) are specified and sold into major end users and system integrators throughout the UK.
• You will assist with the business development, product management and marketing strategy to ensure double digit sales. growth for our organisation on complete IoT solutions offering (with a focus on software and digital platforms).
• To gain a strong understanding of our IoT solution offering and to support the sales team as a product champion.
• Ideally you will offer commercial & technical support to both internal and external clients.
• To help strategically plan which potential accounts are primed for IoT solutions sales growth in the next 3-5 years.
• Help negotiate and close sales, follow up and ensure customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS:

• You should have at least 4 years automation/SAAS sales experience and have a full understanding of IoT solutions and applications.
• The ideal individual would already be selling IoT solutions, software, and cloud solutions via specification.
• Knowledge of how to win sales orders via consultative selling is essential.
• A mix of business development and commercial support attributes are needed for this role.
• Good technical skills within the automation or SAAS sector are desired.
• A pro-active sales personality is hugely important.
