Overview:
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a business development manager, you would be expected to work on your own autonomy developing project sales, whilst also being part of a small management team.
The main facets of the position are:
- To develop sales of our system integration services offering into the factory automation and manufacturing sectors.
- Winning new business by ensuring our system integration solutions (robotics, controls, programming and full integration) are specified and sold into major end users and OEM customers throughout the UK.
- You will lead the business development, account management and commercial strategy to ensure double digit sales growth for our organisation.
- To gain a strong understanding of our system integration offering
- Ideally you will offer commercial & technical support to our customer base.
- To help strategically plan how to grow our system integration business in the logistics and defence sectors.
- Help negotiate and close sales, follow up and ensure customer satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You should have at least 4 years automation system integration sales experience and have a strong understanding of robotic applications.
- The ideal individual would already be selling complex automation projects into the automotive, manufacturing and food & beverage sector.
- Knowledge of how to win new automation projects via business development and consultative selling is essential.
- A mix of business development and commercial support attributes are needed for this role.
- Good technical skills within the automation (ideally robotics) sector are desired.
- A pro-active sales personality is hugely important.
